Bernice Ruth Jones, age 92, passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert on October 27, 2017. Bernice was born February 18, 1925 in Fenton, SK, the eldest daughter of Robert S. Dubray and Minnie R. Dubray (nee Haugen) of Hagen, SK. Bernice enjoyed reading and writing poetry. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. Bernice and her siblings shared a keen interest in curling and baseball. She was very active in her church, where she sang many solos and duets. In 1958, Bernice married David H. Jones in Prince Albert and this is where they settled and raised their family. Bernice is survived by: her two daughters: Twyla (Luke) Plett of Prince Albert, SK and Tanya (Kelvin) Martin of Stratford, ON; loving grandmother to: Crystal (Ron) Uribe of Prince Albert; Brittany Plett of Prince Albert, Ryan Martin of Lethbridge, AB and Darren (Stephanie) Martin of St. Thomas, ON; three cherished great-grandaughters and one great-grandson. She is also survived by: her brother: Robert (Evelyn) Dubray of Prince Albert; and her sisters: Shirley (Peter) Dyck of Prince Albert, and Dolores (Carl) Chipurda of Kelowna, B.C., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bernice was predeceased by: her husband: David H. Jones; her parents: Robert S. Dubray and Minnie R. Dubray; and her sister: Delphine Dubray. The family would like to thank Doctor Dale Ardell and all the attending nurses and other aides that made Bernice’s last days comfortable and dignified. Visitation, Tuesday, November 7 at 7:00 pm, and the Celebration Service, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm, will take place at MacKenzie Chapel, 130 – 9th St. E, Prince Albert, SK.
