With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Leonard Williard Ray, Late of Sandy Bay, SK at the age of 76. Leonard was born November 2nd, 1944 in Sandy Bay – Island Falls, SK. Leonard passed away May 3rd, 2021 in Saskatoon, SK. Leonard will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Alice & Tessa; his sons Adam, Jonathan, & Joey; his grandchildren Jaelyn, William, Walter, Ally Rose, Arianna, Aubree, Bryce, Zylan, Akasha, Brylen, Zakaria, April, Bryce, Treena & Meadow; his great grandsons, his great granddaughters, & great-great grandson; his sisters Gladys, Mary, & Diane; his brothers Raymond, Dennis, Phillip (Myrtle), Kenneth, & Wayne; his uncles Lenard Ray SR., Eli Bear; his auntie Angelique Ray; his special dogs Rocky, Buddy, Shadow, William, Spotty, & Cocoa. Leonard was predeceased by his wife Veronique Ray; his parents Frank & Rosie Ray; his son Lil Bo; his grandson Joey Castel; his brothers Howard, Alfred, & Martin; his nephew Roy Ray; his great-great grandmother Tawipisim; his grandparents Charlotte & Jesse E. Ray, Moise & Henriette Bear; his in-laws Adam & Domathilda Castel; his brothers-in-law Thomas, Pete, James, and Steve; his sister-in-law Jane Ray; his aunts Adele & MaryAnn; his uncles Ernie, Louis, Roddy, Ovide, Edward, & Angus (Mr.Moon); As well as other numerous family members. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 at 1:00 PM at MacKenzie Chapel located in Prince Albert, SK. Wake/Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 at 10:00 PM at the Gary Memorial Community Hall in Sandy Bay, SK. Father Heiner will be officiating. Honourary Pallbearers are all members of Sandy Bay, Pukatawagon, and surrounding communities, PBCN councilors & Chief, as well as all those who shared in Leonard’s life. Pallbearers are Jonathan Bear, Tom Merasty, Alfred Ray, Scotty McDonald, Bryce Ray & Marty Morin. Cremation to follow Funeral Service. Interment to take place at Mr. Bow’s Camp.
