It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Karen Anne Kkailther, late of Fond Du Lac, SK at the age of 43 years. Karen was born on May 8th, 1978 in La Ronge, SK. Karen passed away in Saskatoon, SK on May 16th, 2021. Karen will be lovingly remembered by her common-law husband Frederick Mercredi; her children Kirk, Kyra, Kyanna, & Kiera; her grandchildren Kaelem, Konnor, Kesha, & Kayla; her mother Louise Kkailther; her sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law & kids Adam, Justina, Joy, Jayneil, Easton, Janaya, & Karlen, Veronica, Cody, Collin, Trinity, Lita, Chad, & Delaney, Gerald, Lena, Gerald JR., Lexie, & Layna, Janna, Johnny, Justyce, Kelson, Trent, Wade, & Kayden, Aaron, Nadine, & Arianna, Donald, Marie, Don, Michelle, Dylan, Maureen, Dale, & Dion; her uncle & aunts Hector (Maryanne), Pat (Helen), Jean (Toby), Maryann (Fred), Rosalie, Mary Flora (George), & Annie (Jimmy); as well as all her family & friends from Wollaston Lake and surrounding communities; her mother-in-law Honorine Mercredi; her brothers and sisters-in-law Shawn (Amanda) Mercredi, Terence (Priscilla) Mercredi, Maryanne (Gilbert) McDonald, Shawna (Noel) Bignose, Shelley (Terry) Mercredi, & Michelle (Peter) Fern. Karen was predeceased by her father Angus Kkailther; her sister Jeanette Klailther; her daughter Kiesha Kkailther; her uncles Pierre Kkailther & Ovide Hugarth; her aunt Marie Kkailther; her grandpa Paul Hugerth; her grandma Mary Madeline Hugarth; her grandparents Basil & Madeline Kkailther; her cousins Rodney Kkailther, Marvin H, & Samson H. A Visitation Service will be held Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 at 11:30 AM, MacKenzie Chapel in Prince Albert, SK.
A Wake Service will then commence at the Residence of Louise Kkailther in Wollaston Lake, SK with the Funeral Service being held Friday, May 21st, 2021 at 4:00 PM at St. Adrian Catholic Church in Wollaton Lake, SK. Officiants will be Mary Sha’Oulle & Veronic Dzeylion. Karen’s Honourary Pallbearers are Agelina Benoanie, Bertha MacDonald, Jayneil Kkailther, Susan McDonald, Michelle Mercredi, Kathy Mercredi, Julie Pacquette, April Pische and all those who shared in Karen’s life.
