Obituary for Larry Howard Evans
Larry Howard Evans lost his battle to cancer on May 25th, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Prince Albert, SK on December 21st, 1942. Larry was the oldest of 4 children.
Larry grew up on a farm in Hagen, SK., then moved to his own farm and had mixed farming with his wife and 3 children. In 1988, Larry started working for Saskatchewan Crop Insurance and retiring at the age of 65 years.
He became self-employed as a carpenter and had 5 grandchildren as helpers.
Larry loved being with his family. They traveled to Disneyland, Hawaii, and traveled throughout Canada.
Larry is survived by his wife Darlene of 57 years; his sons Darrin (Kathy) & their children Jared and Aaron; Lyle (Kathy) & their children Travis, Rylee, Jocelyn (Tim) Seibert; his daughter Karen (Dane) Tessier; his sisters Connie and Fern; his father-in-law Albert Braaten & his family; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry is predeceased by his parents Harry & Margaret; his brother Keith, his mother-in-law Florence Braaten & his brothers-in-law Don, Ed, Robert, Alex, & Ernie; his nephew Greg Devenis.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, May 30th, 2021 at 7 PM, MacKenzie Chapel, Prince Albert, SK. Interment will take place Monday, May 31st, 2021 at 2 PM, Memorial Gardens – Old Rugged Cross, Prince Albert, SK. Condolences can be sent to the family on our website at www.mackenziechapel.ca.
