Alfea Jean Zelenski
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Alfea Jean Zelenski (nee Ellchuk) wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Mont St. Joseph Home at the age of 92 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Gail (Harvey) Agnew of Saskatoon, SK and Sharon (Errol) Rude of Winnipeg, MB and her son: Barry Zelenski of Birch Hills, SK. Also her grandchildren and their families: Lisa (Garth) Baxter and their children Brianna, Kaylee and Megan of Toronto, ON; Todd (Raelynn) Agnew and their children Taylor, Nicholas, Emma and Nathan of Muskoday, SK; Brent (Cyndi) Agnew and their children Kennedee and Kassidee of Detroit, MI; Renai (Marc) Moleman and their children Dylan and Rylie of Gatineau, PQ; Craig (Jackie) Rude and their children Paige and Addyson of Winnipeg, MB; Jodi (Derek) Miller and their children Zane, Sage and Reeve of Ottawa, ON; and Jana Zelenski of Nanamio, BC; her two brothers: Andy of Elphinstone, MB and Alex of Toronto, ON; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: William Bill Zelenski; her daughter-in-law: Audrey Zelenski; her four sisters and her four brothers. Jean was born May 2, 1920 and married Bill on February 3, 1945. They had more than 53 years together before his passing in 1998. Their early years were spent farming just outside of Birch Hills. In 1974 they retired and built a new house in Birch Hills. Mom was a loving mother, always willing to help out when needed and a wonderful homemaker for the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Mont St. Joseph for the wonderful care and compassion they provided over the last four years. In lieu of tributes, donations can be made to the Mont St. Joseph Foundation, 777 28th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 8C2. A Funeral Service will be held for Jean on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 11:00 am at St. Marys - St. Annes Church, Birch Hills with Father Janusz Bizewski as Celebrant.
