It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Blanche passed away peacefully on September 7, 2013 in Leduc, AB at the age of 94 years. Blanche was born and lived all of her life in Weldon, SK. where she was a faithful supporter of her Church and her community. At the age of 84 she made the brave decision to leave the comfortable and familiar life she had always known and move to Leduc, AB to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.Left to cherish wonderful memories of Blanche are her daughter: Joan (Gary) Foster of Leduc, AB; her three grandchildren: David Foster (Jacqueline Harkins), Logan (Erin) Foster and their children: Nathan and Seraphina of Edmonton AB, Lindsay (Sheldon) Halladay and their children: Hawke and Alexandria of Leduc AB; and her brother: Victor Johnson of Prince Albert, SK. Blanche will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors, who can all attest to her warmth, hospitality and her excellent waffles! Blanche was predeceased by her husband: Oscar Christopherson; her parents: Henry and Carrie Johnson; her brothers: James, Harold and Robert Johnson; and her infant great-granddaughter: Aurelia Foster. Her family would like to thank the staff of Salem Manor in Leduc for their kindness and care of Blanche for the past 5 years. A Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013 - 2:00 PM, Weldon Lutheran Church, Weldon, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Blanches honor to Weldon Lutheran Church, General Delivery, Weldon, SK S0J 3A0 or the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
