Dorothy Jane (Bannister) Uhlik

UHLIK-Dorothy Jane, late of Prince Albert, SK passed away on January 12, 2011 in Saskatoon at the age of 85 years. It is with great sadness and regret we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loving part of many peoples lives and will be greatly missed. She is lovingly remembered by her husband and companion of 64 years: Frank; four children: Randy (Brenda), Laurie (Maurice), Sandra (Kevin) and Robert (Tracy); nine grandchildren: Scott (Sara), Shauna, Jared (Chrissy), Jana (Gord), Heather, Erin (Chad), Shane (Dawn), Candice, and Darcy; and five great-grandchildren: Cody, Raine, Aiden, Shae-Lynne and Anniston. Dorothy was preceded by her parents William and Catherine Bannister; her brothers William and Matthew and her sister Jeanne. Dorothy had another great love in her life, Waskesiu. She spent her honeymoon there and ended up purchasing a shack tent and later a cabin. This is a special place for Dorothy; she spent every summer at the lake with her children and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family. Every Sunday was card night at the Uhlik residence where everyone sat around the table eating snacks and joking while playing cards. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 1:00 pm at St. Marks Parish, 581-9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Rev. Tuan Doan officiating.
