Evelyn Ester Ganes (nee Ellingson)
January 5th, 1927 September 25th, 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Ganes of Birch Hills, Sk after a brief struggle with cancer. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 64 years Arnold and their 3 children; son Terry (Lorisa) and daughters Heather (Bob Cockwill) and Leanne (Brian Poncelet). Also mourning her loss are her grandchildren Tim Ganes (Renee`) Micheal Ganes, Kristie Ganes (Jay Kowalyshyn), Tracy (Scott Banda), Tasha (Robin Cockwill) and Teagan Poncelet; as well as 9 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Birch Hills Lutheran Church on Saturday October 1 at 2:00 pm. Donations may be made to the charity of choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Unsworth and the nurses on Palliative Care at Prince Albert Victoria Hospital for their compassion and care of wife and mother.
