Fred Sayers Obituary

Fredrick Lanchard Sayers 1946-2026

Fred was born in North Battleford, SK on December 5, 1946, and passed on May 12th, 2026, at the Herb Bassett Care Home in Prince Albert, SK.

Fred was raised in North Battleford until he moved to Saskatoon where he would have two sons. He moved to Prince Albert where he met his wife Thelma and had another son. He worked at Collins Bay Mine as a service crew, week in and week out, and during his week at home he would spend time with family watching hockey games or listening to them on the radio. 

After retirement he spent much of his time and would be seen drinking coffee at his favorite places, which would include the food court, Smitty’s or in the lobby of his apartment.

Fred was part of a large family who he loved so much, Fred leaves behind his wife Thelma (nee Spence) Sayers: his children Evan Sayers & Ryan (Allison) Sayers; several grandchildren; his brother Grant Sayers; his niece Mary LaRose.

Fred was predeceased by his parents Howard and Regina; his bothers Kenneth, Earl, Tommy & Bernard; his sister Norma; Son: Lanchard; & several grandchildren.
