Helen Heffernan Obituary

Helen May Heffernan (nee Simpso) passed away peacefully on March 8, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 14, 1923 in the Winton district. She married the love of her life, Jack Heffernan in 1941. They were blessed with eleven children. Because of her strong faith, Helen lived her life of true joy in a spirit of service. She was devoted to her family, friends, neighbors and anyone in need. She was active in the community and belonged to many service clubs and Bible-study groups. She could see the positive in the worst situation and always had a smile on her face. She was a wonderful cook and will long be remembered for her fabulous meals, often for over fifty people.
