PETERS, Irene Elizabeth (nee Turner) late of Sturgeon Lake, SK passed away on November 8, 2010 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 72 years. She was born on January 29, 1938 in Sturgeon Lake, SK. Irene is survived by: her husband: William Charles Peters; son: Frederick John Turner (Rema); step children: Oliver, Louise, Elwood, Lancelot and Esther; adopted son: Norman Quinney; 6 Chapaans and 3 who were in her care: Laura (11), Odessa (8), Misty (7), Keith (16), Deshawn (2) and Tia (13); grandchildren: Fredrick Blair Turner (Shirley), Rocky Turner and Sammy Thompson; sisters: Freda & MaryJane; brothers: William John and Arthur James (Susan); special nieces: Freda Rose (Jerry) and Phyllis (Delmer). Irene was predeceased by: her parents: Eli and Nancy Turner; children: Leonard and Sharon; mother-in-law: Annie Peters; sisters: Florence, Lorna, Wilma, Hazel and Bernice; brothers: Elwood, Francis and Norman; niece: Adrienne Ermine; nephews: Darcey, Darrell, Jason, Jack and Franklin. Wake Service was held Wednesday & Thursday, November 10 & 11, 2010~5:00 pm at Sturgeon Lake Community Centre, Sturgeon Lake, SK. Funeral Service was held Friday, November 12, 2010 ~ 1:00 pm at Sturgeon Lake Community Centre, Sturgeon Lake, SK with Pastor Tim Avery officiating. Interment Sturgeon Lake East End Cemetery.
