Joan Arlene (Lane) Hastings

HASTINGS- Joan (nee Lane), late of Candle Lake, SK passed away September 10, 2011 in Candle Lake at the age of 67 years. Joan was born July 26, 1944 in Moose Jaw, SK. Joan is survived by her husband of 48 years: Ron Everett Hastings; her three children: Shaun Hastings of Regina (Lisa, and two daughters: Sarah & Sadie), Mark Hastings of Prince Albert (Trishia, and son and daughter: Evan & Alyson), and daughter Lori Hastings Smith of Lloydminster (two sons and daughter: Ty, Zack & Emma); and her dog Jack. Joan is also survived by two brothers, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews; her husbands two brothers, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents Reg and Dorothy Lane and her sister-in-law Bonnie Lane.

Joan was married on February 9, 1963, in Moose Jaw, SK, to her husband Ron. Due to her husbands employment, they moved around the province until they retired in Candle Lake for the last 13 years. She had three beautiful children who kept her busy and entertained through the years. She will be fondly remembered by all for her infectious laugh and her heart of gold. Over the years, her grandchildren were a constant joy in her life.
