Kathleen Sarah (Neil) Whitson

WHITSON, Kathleen- On the morning of December 1, 2011, Kathleen Sarah Whitson, late of Prince Albert, at the age of 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Kaye was a very strong, kind hearted Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Sister. Kaye was married to Gail Whitson Sr, love of her life, who passed away in 1984. Kaye cherished and shared special bonds with her sons Vernon, Gail and Don, their families, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Kayes parents Duncan and Mamie (Byrne) Neil homesteaded in Prince Albert from Ireland. Kaye was one of twelve brothers and sisters. Born in 1918, Kaye was a resident of Prince Albert, SK all her life, until her later years, where she lived quietly and close to her son Don and his wife Elaine at her residence in the Birchview Nursing Home in Birch Hills, SK. Kayes favorite moments in life were visiting with family, playing cards and bingo. Kaye would often reflect over good times to her grandchildren, sharing stories and wisdoms of her life. Kaye will be deeply missed by her family, but always carried in their hearts. The family wishes to heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Birchview Nursing Home for all their care, hugs and kisses for Kaye, and to Sonja F. for her guiding prayers for Kayes journey.
