Laura Lenore "Lenore" (Jackson) Hanson

Lenore Hanson (nee Jackson) of Birch Hills, SK passed away peacefully March 18, 2012 at Mount St. Josephs Nursing Home surrounded by family. Lenore was born March 6th, 1924 in Birch Hills, SK and recently celebrated her 88th birthday. Lenore was educated in Fisher School and married Lawrence (L.O.) Hanson in 1943. Lenore worked for many years as a Nurses Aid at the Victoria Lions Nursing Home in Prince Albert and later at the Birchview Nursing Home in Birch Hills. Lenore was an active member of the community always willing to lend a helping hand. She is most remembered for her kindness and loving personality. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to brighten the days of those around her. She was a stranger to few and a friend to many. Lenore was predeceased by her parents, Frank & Mable Jackson; Husband Lawrence Hanson; siblings Kathleen (Henry ), Grace (Naynard ), Ruby (Osle), George Jackson, and Bob (Inza); Sisters-in-law, Stella and Margaret. Left to mourn are her sons Wayne, Russell, and Randy (Doreen); Daughters-in-law Phyllis, Eileen and Louise; Grandchildren Tracie (Shane), Clayton, Jaylene (Tyrel), Dawn (Terry), Scott, Lenita (Amy), Nadine (Tom), and Preston (Teresa); Sisters-in-law Doris and Janet; Brothers-in-law; Jesse (Bernice), and Huie; Great grandchildren Cody, Karsyn, Andrew, Tyren, Dawson, Ethan, Emma, Oliver, Xavier, Sebastian, Evangeline, and Addison, Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. At Lenores request there will be a private family memorial held at a later date. On numerous occasions Lenore mentioned how well and kindly she was treated during her years at Mount St. Josephs.
