Melvin Roger Keenatch

Keenatch, Melvin Roger, late of Prince Albert, passed away October 1, 2011 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 58 years. Melvin was born in Leoville, SK January 3, 1953. Melvin will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Verna Keenatch; his daughters: Tammy Whitefish (Willard Morin Jr.), Katherine Whitefish (Arnold Morin), Rosemarie Whitefish (Dion Rabbitskin), Damaris Whitefish all of Big River First Nation, Stacy BuffaloCalf, Brandy BuffaloCalf and Valerie BuffaloCalf all of Calgary; his sons: Arlo Whitefish of North Battleford, Terry Whitefish, Sonny Whitefish, Troy Whitefish and Jarrett Whitefish all of Big River First Nation ; his mother: Catherine Keenatch of Prince Albert; his brother: Mitchell Keenatch of Prince Albert; his sisters: Virginia Whitefish, Lona (James Kahpeechoose) Keenatch both of Big River First Nation and Sally (Stanley Kahpeechoose) Keenatch of Mudie Lake; his grandchildren: Korley Netmaker, Kallis Whitefish, Alexis Whitefish, Trisha Whitefish, Tarryn Whitefish, Jarris Whitefish, Xavier Whitefish, Summer Rabbitskin, Tiara BuffaloCalf, Unique BuffaloCalf, Tisha BuffaloCalf and Lynelle Keenatch; his great-grandchild: Carter Netmaker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.



Melvin was predeceased by his father: Roy Lewis (Chamakese); his brother: Ross Keenatch; his paternal grandparents: Ikey and Elsie Chamakese; his maternal grandparents: Gilbert and Agnes Keenatch; and his nieces: Cynthia Lachance and Shiela Morin.



A Wake Service will be held Sunday & Monday, October 2 & 3, 2011, Big River Band Hall, Big River, SK.



A Funeral Service will be hled Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 11:00 am, Big River Band Hall, Big River, SK. Interment at White Fish Cemetery, Big River First Nation.
