Michelle Naomi Mercredi

With heavy hearts the family of Michelle Naomi Mercredi, late of Hatchet Lake, SK, is announcing her passing on July 14th, 2026, at the age of 28 years. Michelle was born in La Ronge, SK on December 19th, 1997, to Donald Mercredi & Marie Hugarth. Michelle will be lovingly remembered by her partner Paula Kkaikka; her father Donald Mercredi; her mother Marie Hugarth; her siblings Dylan, Maureen, Dale, & Dion; her nieces & nephews Malcolm, Kaylan & Kentrall; her grandparents Louise Kkailther, May Flora Kasayon; her godparents Veronica Kkailther & Leonard Tsannie; as well as numerous uncles, aunties & cousins. Michelle was predeceased by her aunts Jeanette Kkailther, Karen Kkailther, & Keisha; her uncles Nap Mercredi & Jimmy Mercredi; her grandparents Angus Kkailther, James Toutsaint, Leo & Judith Mercredi; her great auntie Marie Kkailther. A Wake Service will be commencing Friday July 17th, 2026, at the residence of Marie Hugarth in Hatchet Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held Monday July 20th, 2026, at the St. Adrian’s Roman Catholic Church in Hatchet Lake, SK. The Interment will take place at the Hatchet Lake Cemetery at Hatchet Lake First Nation, SK. The Officiants will be Community Elders. The Honourary Pallbearers are Dylan Mercredi, Maureen Mercredi, Shauntae Sha’Oulle, Lita Tsannie, Norma, Angela, Jenna, Joanne, Janaya, Carline, Jaden, Kyra, Doris, Kendra, Alysha, Arlena, Kammie, Kyanna, Iris, Lexie, Cerina, Lonna, Martina, Paulie, Cody, Miranda, Justyce, Illa, Paulina, Jennea, and all those who shared in Michelle’s life. The Pallbearers are Donald Mercredi, Dylan Mercredi, Raymond Hugarth, Dale Mercredi, Leonard Tsannie, & Dion Mercredi.
