PHILLIPS, Olis, late of Birch Hills, passed away on December 28, 2010 at the age of 90. She was born in Chamberlain, SK on May 16, 1920 to Joseph and Florence Wall. The family moved to Kinistino in 1931 and later to the Winton district where mom took most of her schooling. Moms last years of life were spent firstly at the Weldon Country Villa from Sept./01 to May/05, when she became a resident on Golden Hill at the Herb Bassett Home until her death. Mom married Gordon Phillips in 1937. From that union they had 4 children: Robert Phillips (Vel Ebert), Stanley (Lorraine) Phillips, Mae (Lorne) Hartum, Lois (Grant) Zachow; grandchildren: Robin (Cindy) Phillips, Wesley (Carrie) Phillips, Stacy (Chris) Resendes, Adam Phillips (Nicole Vennard), John Olyowski (Sue Checora), Tammy (Kelly) Leeb, Chad Olyowski (Jodi Richter), Nola (Ted) Nevland, Trina (Todd) Harper, Hali (Lindsey) Long; great-grandchildren: Tyler and Jacee Phillips, Logan Resendes, Cash and Ali Olyowski, Russell and Trevor Leeb, Eric and Drew Nevland, Scott Harper, Delaney and Matthew Long. Moms greatest pride was her family. Every grandchild and great-grandchild held a special place in her heart. Mom lived life to the fullest. Her sense of humor touched the hearts of every person associated with her. Her many stories and rhymes kept everybody on pins and needles. Mom is survived by her children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister Jean Manson; sisters-in-law Gladys Fjeld, Dorothy Wall and Elva Wall; and brother-in-law Lloyd Hyggen.
