McKENZIE- William Zacherius, late of Little Red River Reserve, SK, was bornJuly 16, 1943 in Grandmothers Bay, SK, and passed away April 21, 2011 at Little Red River Reserve, SK at the age of 67 years. William is survived byhis wife of 44 years, Anne McKenzie; his sons Willie (Mrytle) McKenzie, Phillip (Violet) McKenzie, and Eli (Nora) McKenzie, all of Little Red;his daughters Lisa (Gary) McKenzie, Angie (Billy) McKenzie, and Julia (Gilbert) McKenzie, all of Little Red; his sisters Jeannie Custer of Deshambeault Lake, Rosie Cook of Stanley Mission, Angelique McKenzie of Grandmothers Bay, Matilda Roberts of Grandmothers Bay, and Flora Isbister of La Ronge; his brothers Colin McKenzie (Susan) of Grandmothers Bay, Isaac (Susan) McKenzie of Grandmothers Bay, and Alex P. McKenzie of Stanley Mission;his Step-brother George McKenzie of Stanley Mission; his 21 Grandchildren; his Sister-in-law Margorie McKenzie of Stanley Mission; his brother-in-law Edward Charles of Stanley Mission; as well as numerous special nieces and nephews. William was predeceased byhis parents Phillip and Sally McKenzie; his brothers Elias McKenzie and Johnny McKenzie;his sisters Bella Ratt and Hannah Charles; his In-laws Bella Charles Roberts and David Roberts (uncle); and his grandchild Sally Ann McKenzie.
Wake Service was held Sunday April 24, 2011~10am at Williams Residence in Little Red River Reserve, Little Red Hall, and Grandmothers Bay, as well as Monday April 25, 2011~ Holy Trinity Church, in Stanley Mission.
Funeral Service was held Tuesday April 26, 2011~2pmat Holy Trinity Church, Stanley Mission, with The Ven. Adam Halkett, Elias Ballantyneand Richard Custer officiating. Lay Readerswere John P. McKenzie and Morris McKenzie. Interment was held atStanley Mission Cemetery.
